5 day trip to Grand Canyon and Zion NP .

- left San Diego at 5 AM on Saturday

- reached Grand Canyon south rim at 2 PM, stayed at Yavapai village lodge inside the Grand Canyon NP (national park)

      - sight seeing, watched sunset at Hopi point, watched sunrise the next morning at Mather point, more sight seeing along the rim

- left GC NP around noon, reached Monument valley around 3 PM

      - stayed there for sight seeing for about an hour

- left for our hotel in Page, AZ; stayed at Comfort Inn and Suites

     -  took a guided tour to upper Antelope Canyon

     - Roamed around the Glen canyon dam

     - on the way to Zion, took a detour to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Utah: As the name says, this place has coral pink sand dunes!

- left for Zion NP at around 1:30 PM, reached there in 2 hours; stayed at the Zion lodge inside Zion NP

    - spent two days there

    - hiked lower and upper emerald pools, Kayenta trail, Grotto trail, Canyon overlook trail, Riverside walk

    - left Zion at 1 PM Utah time/noon CA time

- reached home around 8 PM
